In our last announcement on May 15, 2020, we shared our plans of a phased approach to expand testing capacity for Step 1, Step 2 Clinical Knowledge (CK), and Step 3. Phase one of the plan involves setting up a small number of testing sites in medical schools using Prometric equipment.
The sponsors of the USMLE program (Federation of State Medical Boards and NBME) have agreed, in response to concerns about the spread of COVID-19, to waive fees for eligibility period extensions and testing region changes effective immediately.
